Episode 13
1. Tell your group one story about something you thought was real and later discovered was a fake.
2. How can you tell whether people are for real or whether they are just good at acting? Do you think it is because of fake people (hypocrites) in the church that many people turn away from God? How does this relate to the recent popularity of reality TV?
3. Solomon discovered who was the real mother of a child by telling his servants to cut a baby in half. The real mother gave up her right to the child so it could live (1 Kings 3:26). Discuss how people’s motives and the area of money can reveal a person’s hearts.
4. Discuss how God’s Word will enable you to tell whether something is real or counterfeit.

1 Samuel 16:7 ~ 7 But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."
