“So
God May Have Mercy”
As
I was reading this morning I came across something very interesting in Romans
11:32:
For
God has bound all men over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them
all.
Another
place that shows that none of us are perfect and not only that we cannot be
perfect. For in our make up we are
inherently evil for lack of a better word, so that God can give us His Mercy.
Now that is something to chew on today.
No matter how hard we try it is futile.
We will fail if we try to make it on our own.
God has made us to where we have no choice but to go to Him if we want to
be successful in this short life. It
doesn’t say some it says “ALL” men are bound to disobedience so He may
give them His mercy. We all know
who this Mercy is right? You say
you don’t know? His name is Jesus
Christ, “the” Mercy of God. If
you don’t know Him read John
3:16-21.
Note worthy here also is that not all people will come to repentance and
receive God’s mercy but God does have in place a way for all men to come and
receive. Kind of sad actually
because the gift is free. God
doesn’t ask for anything in return because there is no way that you could
repay Him for His gift. This
passage in context is titled “All Israel Will Be Saved” and it speaks about
Jew and Gentile alike. The Jews
hearts are hardened until the full number of Gentiles has come in.
See there is other scripture that verifies this in John 10:16:
I
have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They
too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.
I
challenge you to read that in context as well, read John 10:14-18
Jesus was speaking to the Jewish leaders letting them know that they weren’t
the only ones getting the opportunity to be in heaven eternally with God.

Verse:
Romans

[ Ingrafted Branches ] Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond
recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come
to the Gentiles to make Israel envious.
