“Man
Made Plans”
Proverbs
19:21 “Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that
prevails.” Have you made all your
life plans yet? You’re gonna do
this and gonna do that and when it is all said and done you’re gonna retire
and live the good life! I have
another question for you. How’s
that going for you? A lot of you
younger people reading this will say, “I haven’t started yet”, well I have
some wisdom to share with you that have not started.
Take those plans that you think you have laid out and compare them to
God’s plan. If they differ you
need to toss your plan and start over again to be sure it matches God’s plan
for your life. No matter what
“YOU” have planned God’s plan will always take precedence over yours. Don’t think for a moment that when your plan works that it
was yours alone because that plan was already part of God’s plan for your
life. It was either a teaching
moment or a blessing moment in your life. God
even has failure in His plans for you because if it was right all the time how
would you learn humility? There
will be loss in His plan for you as well because if there wasn’t how will you
learn to seek Him? There will be
successes in His plan for you because if there weren’t how would you learn to
give Him praise? Oh I could go on
all day but we all have work to do.
