“Are You A Bubbling Brook?”

Proverbs 18:4 says: “The words of a man's mouth are deep waters, but the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook.”  Deep waters can get dangerous quickly if not treated with care and a “babbling” brook can get annoying and can quickly become a torrent of deep water but a fountain has limits and it knows its limits.  A fountain has walls and a pool to contain its water and when it overflows it just recycles itself and starts over causing no harm.  Wisdom is like that fountain and when wisdom overflows you should run and try to catch it and hide it away in your heart and never let it go because in times of trial you will need that wisdom because trials are like a fire and wisdom like water and water will extinguish that fire.  The water of life comes from the Living Water which we all know as Jesus Christ and the fire of trial comes from the fire of the earth satan and he will be destroyed by the Living Water of Christ.  No ifs, ands, or buts about it and he knows it that is why he tries to take us down with him.  So are you a bubbling brook of wisdom overflowing for all to gather?
