“Wisdom
From Popsicles?”
There
are so many good ones here it is difficult to choose.
They pretty much all stand out and slap you in the face.
Proverbs 16:1 Stands out heavy on my heart though; “To man belong the
plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the reply of the tongue.”
We have desires of our hearts and none of them will come to us without
the LORD saying “Yes”. We can
want and want but if we do not go to Him with our desires they will never come
to pass through His lips. God loves
us so much that He told us that if we ask for anything in His name it will be
given to us. Thing is a lot of
those things are, let’s say tweaked, but He sends us what He knows we need at
the time that we need it. There are
times He says “No” but we don’t want to hear that but He has to have a
good reason to say no because He is of course God all seeing and all knowing,
right? The Bible tells us to let our no be no and our yes be yes and
not to be double minded about things so you know for a fact that God wont do
that to us. Make sure that if you
think you hear a “no”, to stop and listen some more because it may be a
“no not right now”. As children
we sometimes only hear the “no” and not the part where he says “not right
now”. We are spoiled children and we want everything now but
sometimes we can’t have it right now because God is planning something bigger
and better for us. It’s kind of
like when you make popsicles out of Koolaide and you pour the concoction into
little plastic cups and put it in the freezer and come back 5 minutes later and
expect them to be frozen and they are barely even cold.
Best to leave those over night so that they can freeze solidly otherwise
you just have a drink instead of a frozen treat. Which is better on a hot summer day, a cup of room
temperature Koolaide or a frozen, icy cold, Koolaide popsicle? So wait for it children.
