“Repelling
Darkness”
If
you are in darkness how dark is it? If
you are in a room devoid of all light you can see the faintest of sparks.
If you see even a small light your human nature will be to go towards it.
Your human nature is to desire light and like a bug in the night you run
towards the light. But being in
darkness like the bug you just bounce off the light over and over again.
I want to tell you a secret about light.
Light in and of itself is consuming.
If you continue to hit the wall, hit the wall, hit the wall, you will
eventually break through to the other side.
As creatures of the Light we desire it and want to live in it.
Jesus Christ is the only True Light of this world in which we live and if
you live in darkness run towards the Light no matter how small it may seem once
you get to it and begin to understand it you will turn your life over to the
Light and begin to feel the warmth that only a True Light can give you.
Once you are there the darkness that you once lived will repel off you
like water on a greased pig. OK
maybe not the best of analogies but I made you laugh and that is the beginning.
We need to realize that life is about living in the Light of God through
His True Light in Jesus Christ. Jesus
is the only way the only truth and the only life that God has planned for us.
So did you see that spark? Did
you hear that crack when it showed itself?
Run toward the Light and you too will be anointed so that darkness can no
longer stick to you. Join the rest
of us on the slip and slide of life it is much more fun with Living Water.
