“Still
A Little Foggy”
My
mind, oh what a terrible thing to waste, is still foggy from being ill.
I know several of you would have stopped at my mind oh what a terrible
thing LOL. Sitting here trying to think after being ill is no easy task.
My mind is still foggy from the medications and lack of sleep.
Chest still a rumbling mucus factory at this point which I was told could
take up to six weeks to clear up, oh joy oh joy.
But none the less it’s back to the kitchen to get the frying pans
heated up again so the sheep can be fed. I
don’t get sick too often, thank You Lord, but when I do I think it makes up
for the times that I don’t or maybe it’s just that when I get sick I turn
into a big baby needing attendance. Then
I remember that it’s just Zachary and I and he depends on me to take care of
him. Well not this time.
He is 10 and a half, he would be pleased to know I remembered the half,
and when he came home from school he would make me dinner (dry cheese sandwich)
and bring me something to drink and then he would sit with me and tell me he
loves me and we would just sit and watch cartoons together until I fell asleep
or the phone ring. He gave me no grief about not getting to go and play and he
didn’t whine or complain about not getting to go do the things we normally do
and he has been in a state of perfection at school. Knowing that he is doing those things for his daddy because
his daddy is sick just touched my heart in a way none can describe.
The love of a child. That’s
all that need be said.
