“Don’t Eat With The Devil!”

Did you go to the club this past weekend?  Went to the pub and threw back 2 or 3 pints too much?  Did you indulge in some tasty treats from some worldly event? Oh yes and then you went to church on Sunday and sat on the pew struggling to stay awake.  You made sure you were there because it was time for communion.  According to what I have read in the Bible every meal should be the Lord’s supper.  Every cup should be the blood of Christ.  As you tilted back the pint did you give thanks for the blood?  When that tasty treat touched your tongue did you give thanks for the body of Christ that was broken for you?  My point is found in 1 Corinthians 10:

Do not those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar? 19Do I mean then that a sacrifice offered to an idol is anything, or that an idol is anything? 20No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons. 21You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord's table and the table of demons.

Be careful what enters into your lips and where it comes from.  Make a gut check at every sitting and be sure that satan has not been invited to where you are.  Be cleaned from the inside that the outside will be clean.  In everything you do, do it as unto the Lord and satan can’t come in.  Oh he will knock and try to get in but if you rebuke his idols and his stuff he will grow tired of you and move on to the next one.  History forgotten will repeat itself.
