“The Law of Love”

Who made up that law?  The law of love, bah!  Well actually we see it as an emotion of affection but it had a lot more meaning in Biblical time and it had several different words for love as well.  But Jesus made it the law of love and not an emotion.  Jesus commanded us to love one another and also come to think of it in Moses law that was handed down from God Almighty says to love Him with all your heart, mind, and strength and that is the first law of love.  Now Jesus tells us that He is not here to abolish the law but to fulfill the law which you can find in Matthew 5.  Now that is Love in its purest form.  Our Lord and King came to fulfill what is written and not to abolish it.  So quit being so legalistic, Jesus has already fulfilled the law that we may live this life abundantly, He told us to love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind and strength, and to love each other as Jesus loves us.  We are the salt of the earth but that salt loses its saltiness how can it be made salty again?  We are the light of the world but if we hide that light who will be able to see it?  Want to read a law of love?  Here let me spell it out for you:

1Now when he saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2and he began to teach them saying:
3"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4Blessed are those who mourn,
      for they will be comforted.

5Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.

6Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
      for they will be filled.

7Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.

8Blessed are the pure in heart,
      for they will see God.

9Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called sons of God.

10Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Not there’s a law of love for you.  Accomplish those and Love is there with you.
