“Run”
Why
is it we run from the things that will set us free?
You know that if you just follow some simple rules of life you will
finish well? Only two rules exist
that we need to follow and live our life by to complete the race and run clear
and free of the temptations of this world in which we have this temporary
existence. We run away as fast as
we can from the One that can rescue us that we may have an eternal life in
peace. I too was a runner at one
time. Every opportunity that I had
to be rescued I would flee as fast as I could to get away.
Funny thing is that even though I have been saved I still at times find
myself wanting to flee from the very One who has rescued me.
He wants nothing more than to have a relationship with me and all I want
to do is run as fast as I can away from him because His request is so simple it
scares me. He always manages to
catch me too. I have found that no
matter how fast I think I am going He runs circles around me to let me know He
is still with me. He promised me
once I accepted Him that He would never leave me nor forsake me.
Well I thought He was going to be like all these other people around me
that speak a good line but never follow through with their promises.
But so far after almost 11 years He is still here with me.
Even when I am trying to run away from Him He still will tap me on the
shoulder and let me know He is still here and not to forget that He wants to
carry ALL my burdens that I wont have to. I
always forget that part. Runners
stop running. You cannot outrun
Love. For Love in its Perfection
through Jesus Christ cannot and will not ever fail you.
The only thing that will fail you is your own flesh.
Have you ever stopped running long enough to ask yourself why you’re
running and then ask yourself what you can do to stop the run?
If you will stop you will hear that still small voice telling you that
you are loved.
