“Do
You Have The Holy Spirit?”
1While
Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at
Ephesus. There he found some disciples 2and asked them, "Did you receive
the Holy Spirit when[a]
you believed?"
They answered, "No, we have not even
heard that there is a Holy Spirit."
3So
Paul asked, "Then what baptism did you receive?"
"John's baptism," they replied.
Do
you actively seek the Holy Spirit that you can feel the presence?
Here are people that are preaching and teaching the Gospel and have never
been baptized in the Spirit. Jesus’
love had spread quickly and there were believers that had not yet received the
Holy Spirit. I ask the same
question that Paul asked, "Then what baptism did you receive?"
John’s
baptism was a baptism of repentance. The baptism of this world is a baptism of flesh and is
worthless and yields only sin and the affects of that sin, which will only lead
to hell. You say you’re a
believer and you have given your life over to Christ, then why have you not been
obedient to receive the Holy Spirit through the baptism of the Father, Son, and
the Holy Spirit? What are you
waiting on, an invitation? OK, I
invite you to come and be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the
Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus AMEN! Now
you have been officially invited find a man or woman of God and get dunked!
It will change your life. Oh,
by the way, puffy clothes do not do well in a baptism.
The Great Commission
Matthew
28:
16Then
the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them
to go. 17When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18Then Jesus
came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has
been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing
them in[a]
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching
them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always,
to the very end of the age."
