“Another One Bites The Dust!”

I am praying and reflecting on the year that just past now that I am another year older.  Believe me when I tell you it was like a blink of an eye that it past me by.  I am thinking of the accomplishments of my last year as well as my failures so that I can see where it is I need to improve and the things that worked.  Thing is that even if it worked last year doesn’t mean that it will work this year so I have to be sure that I don’t grow complacent in my daily duties.  I want to be sure that my spiritual footprint grew last year and if it didn’t I want to know why so that I can correct it and if I did the same old thing I did last year means that the footprint I left has not grown.  I know that I made some new friends last year and that was a bonus because I didn’t really have too many people that I could call friend.  Don’t get me wrong I have a reason behind what I do.  Friendship to me changed when I accepted Christ as I hope it did for you.  Once Jesus became the focus of my life I set a higher standard for those that I call friend.  A friend builds you up and tears you down when you need it.  A friend is there in the prosperous times and the lean times.  A friend does NOT lead you into temptations but helps you defeat them.  So I have a short list of people I call friend.  I have lots of people that I know and lots of people that I can fellowship with and ONE Jesus that is always with me.  He guides my every footstep and helps me when I am in need.  Before another one bites the dust for you reflect and see where your spiritual footprint is.  Is it the size of a baby step or is it a giant step?  Share that Jesus that lives in you today and grow that foot print and when time comes for Jesus to call you home there will be a legacy of Godliness left behind for someone to reflect upon and could use to lead someone to meet Jesus and make Him their best Friend.

Friend is used 172 times in the NIV Bible in one form or another.
