“Ring, Ring!”

Ever notice that when you take the kids to a public place they stand in the line all quiet and nice and they are being little angels.  But then your phone rings, and something goes off in the kids head and ,   “they    go     crazy!”  What is up with that?  Do they think we can’t hear them or see them hanging off the ropes and chasing each other around the room?  Do they think that other adults can’t hear or see them?  Then, yeah, and then when you get off the phone they are back in the line with you all quiet and polite.  Let me ask you something, is this how you act?  You know when Daddy get’s on the phone or is helping someone out?  Do you think that God can’t see you or hear you?  He sees you hanging on the ropes and chasing each other around the room.  I am talking to the adults here!  Why is it we go through life thinking we can hide from God and then when He hangs up the phone we think that we can just pop back into line and be sweet little Christians be good and not causing any trouble anymore and everything is ok because Daddy didn’t see us steal that bubble gum and Daddy didn’t see us cheat on our spouse and He didn’t see you walk into that topless club and Daddy didn’t see you get drunk and run that van off the road on your way home from the pub.   WRONG!  There is absolutely NO place you can hide from the eyes of God!  For what is done in secret will be revealed.  God sees all hears all knows all so why are you hiding?  Repent and know the Grace of God, the Mercy of God, the Salvation of God that can only be found in Jesus Christ!  The people of the Old Testament didn’t have Jesus, they had the law.  You have it easy you have Jesus.  Why do you treat Him with hatred when all He did was pay the price for your sin?  Jesus did nothing more than to stand up for you before you were even born and paid YOUR debt so that you could live.  And how do you repay Him?  Not that you have the ability to do that.  But the least we could do is honor Him by how we live our short life here on Earth. Is that too much to ask?  Ring, Ring, Hello.

Hosea 7

       the sins of Ephraim are exposed
       and the crimes of Samaria revealed.
       They practice deceit,
       thieves break into houses,
       bandits rob in the streets;

       Their sins engulf them;
       they are always before me.

 3 "They delight the king with their wickedness,
       the princes with their lies.
