First
we review the battle against the Ammonites.
You remember David was trying to show kindness to Hanun and they
humiliated David’s delegation that he sent by shaving them and cutting off
their clothes so their buttocks were exposed.
Next the capture of Rabbah where David was given the crown of their king.
Then a short section on the war with the Phillistines. In Chapter 21 we see where David ordered a census of the
fighting men. This was not of God
and He punished all of Israel for the sin of David for three days He brought a
plague on Israel that killed 70,000 men. Thank
you LORD for you Son Jesus Christ who died for our sin that this world of stiff
necked people of today may still live. Now
if the same system of justice was still in place today I do not think there
would be too many people around. Well
next we review the preparations for the Temple of God and then David divides the
Levites into groups corresponding to the sons of Levi.
