Solomon
builds the temple of the LORD in all its splendor.
The inner temple all overlaid in pure gold, the walls, the floors, the
ceilings and the altar. What an amazing sight that had to of been.
The absolutely HUGE cherubim the wings touching each wall and then
meeting in the middle. Truly an amazing thing to behold. Now in Chapter 9 God promises that He will be with them and
Solomon would always have a family member on the throne as long as they are
obedient and follow all of God’s ways and not worship any other gods,
otherwise he would destroy the temple and it would be ridiculed as a waste.
I don’t know about you but I would have loved to have seen this temple.
We already know that Israel fell into sin again, I mean look at the
turmoil over there now. It is
obvious that they began to worship foreign gods.
The only hope for Israel is to turn away from their foreign gods and turn
back to the One and Only that brought them up out of Egypt. Well Solomon let’s all this stuff go to his head we will
read more about it on Monday. Have
