Judges
time! Who is the Judge?
The LORD is the Judge. He
not only judged the people around the Israelites but He judged the Israelites.
They failed to be obedient and the LORD sent several men to rescue them.
Well he sent a couple women too. Deborah
was a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, and she was leading the Israelites. Now Deborah was a strong woman of God. She knew her place and when she told the men that the LORD
had given their enemies into their hands they wouldn’t go without her.
So the LORD shamed the men and a woman defeated the leader of their
enemy. Yep, Jael is her name and
she put a tent peg through the guys temple and drove it into the ground. On
that day God subdued Jabin, the Canaanite king, before the Israelites. And the
hand of the Israelites grew stronger and stronger against Jabin, the Canaanite
king, until they destroyed him. Again
I say the leaders of the nations need to read and take heed of the warnings of
God in these chapters. All the
Israelites have to do is cry out to the LORD and He will rescue them from their
enemies. If the Israelites figure
this out those nations that are wanting to kill off the Israelites will
themselves be destroyed. If the
Israelites would turn back to God and destroy their man made gods the LORD will
stand and fight for them. It says
so right here in the Bible. God’s
Word, not mine.
