Moses continues his reminder speech and instructions.  He goes over the tablets and the ark of the covenant, and fearing the LORD in chapter 10.  Now Chapter 11 is devoted to loving and obeying the LORD.  Chapter 12 is dedicated to the One place of worship.  Chapter 13 is talking about worshiping other gods and finally chapter 14 is on clean and unclean foods and tithing.  Oh we aren’t the only ones called to tithe.  Bet you thought that was a new invention.  The only difference between what was then and what is today is that many so called churches are just trying to dig into your pocket to put in their own pocket instead of it going to the works of the LORD.  If you are a farmer take a tenth of your crops of the first fruits of your crops and drop it off at the local church.  If you have a dairy farm make sure that the church gets a tenth of your first fruits, butter, milk, cream those kinds of dairy products.  You raise cattle?  Then you my friend have answered the question of “Where’s the beef?”.  I have been seeing things on the Internet about how the tax system on our income in the US is un-constitutional and illegal and we should take the gold back from the private banks so that America can become strong again.  I say let’s strengthen our Church and America will be strong again.  Pastor if one of the members of your church is a farmer accept a tenth of the produce as the tithe to your church and spread that love out to the hungry.  If you have a member that is a rancher.  Well mister or miss rancher take a tithe of beef to the church and let’s feed the hungry of the community.  You say you don’t farm or any of those things but you own the local juice bar?  Well the church should have juice every month.  You’re a baker you say?  Well then at communion time your church has fresh bread to serve, right?  You want to see the world change?  Have a BBQ!  Give of the first fruits of what God has given YOU!
