Your doing great and we made through all the
legal stuff now it is time to go through the numbers thing. Well
it all starts with a census although I do not think it was like what we do
today the results were similar. OK first the leaders are
selected from each tribe and then they are arranged in tribal camps and next
the Levites were chosen to serve in the priesthood as helpers. The
Kohathites and Gershonites and the Merarites all of the Levite clan were
counted and given their duties. Notice here that only the
men were counted and only of specific age groups of the men were counted.
God had specific jobs for each of these men groups and He selected them
as soldiers and workers, some in the battlefield and some in the service of
God at the Tent of Meeting. God had a plan for them just as
He has a plan for you as long as you will listen and obey you will find what
it is He wants for your life. Most of us are doing His will
so if you are a fisherman, fish like your fishing for God. If
you work in an office, work like you are working for God. If
you are flipping burgers at the local burger joint then flip those burgers as
if God ordered them. If you are a student, be a student
that is listening as if God were standing in the room teaching you.
If you are a geologist, look through the eyes of God and His plan and
layout of the sediment layers. If you are a scientist, look
through the microscope and know that He is God and He created all the tiny
things you are viewing. If you are a pastor then you better
be in His will at all times. Your life is seen 24/7 by God
Himself and there is no place to hide from His sight and we all need to
remember that.
