Dang, where did the month go! OK
in Chapter 6 and the first part of 7 God is giving the regulations to Aaron
and the priests on how to handle the offerings so it is like a repeat of
yesterday. I had to take a double look at it to make sure I
didn’t make a mistake. God also takes this time to tell
the Israelites that they are not to eat the blood or the fat of any animal.
The fat can be used for anything else but not for eating. I
mean this is serious stuff if anyone is caught eating the fat or the blood of
an animal they will be cut off from their people basically meaning they will
be put out of town. The LORD also tells of the priest share
of the fellowship offering. I find it very interesting that
He specifically wanted them to have the right thigh of the sacrifices.
The other parts were burnt on the altar. In my minds
eye I have pictured these things and the pomp and circumstance that goes along
with this and it must have been a sight to see. I can’t
imagine the mass of humanity trying to bring the Levites their share of the
fellowship offerings. It would have surely filled huge
warehouses and many trucks. Now the LORD has ordained the
priests and they begin their duties. I bet that was a big
party. Stay tuned the sin is coming the sin is coming, God
has a message for you!
