The oppression begins! By
this time Jacob’s children have all died and the descendants have forgotten
Jacob and all his children and the new king doesn’t know of Jacob either. All
he knows is that these people have grown to be many and outnumber the
Egyptians and he is concerned that they will turn on him in war so he puts
slave masters over them and the more he oppresses them the more babies they
have so he had all of the newborn boys thrown into the Nile to kill them.
But there was one little boy that was put into a basket, we know who
that little guy was, it was Moses. When Pharaohs daughter
saw the basket and found the baby inside she had her slave girl go and find a
Hebrew woman to nurse the baby and the slave girl knew to go get Moses’
mother. Well next scene is Moses grew up and killed an
Egyptian for beating a Hebrew and ran into the desert where he met up with
some young shepherd girls at a watering hole in which he helped them and they
brought him home to daddy. He married the oldest daughter
and then as he was tending his flock he saw the burning bush. Funny
thing is that even though he saw this miracle he argued with God about going
back to Egypt
to rescue the Hebrew people. When he told Pharaoh that God
had sent him to let the Hebrews go out into the desert to worship God for
three days he didn’t allow this and Moses made him mad and so now the
Hebrews have to build bricks and gather their own straw to do it and did not
lower the quota of bricks. It’s getting messy stay tuned
the fun is really about to begin.
