I know this is a lot to cover but you have
time. Basically it goes like this Judah gets deceived and
Joseph’s dream begins to unfold. Seems that Judah ’s
first two sons were not following God and it cost them their lives.
Back then if a brother died without children the other brother had to
marry the widow and bear children with her and if that brother died the next
brother would have to take the place. Judah lost two sons
because the first one being evil in the eyes of the LORD and He took his life
and the second one didn’t want to seed children for his brother so his life
was taken and Judah feared losing his 3rd son so told the woman
Tamar to live as a widow. See back before Christ, God took
lives that were living in rebellion to Him if they stood in the way of His
perfect plan. Well Tamar dressed as a prostitute and Judah
laid with her and she got pregnant and gave birth to twins, Perez and Zerah.
Sin, sin, and more sin. Now Joseph on the other hand
found favor in the eyes of the LORD and was blessed in all he did.
Joseph had a problem with the Potiphar’s wife. She
wanted him for sex and he refused because he knew it was wrong. He
fled from her when she tried to get him to lay with her. Unfortunately
on one occasion she had a hold on his cloak and when he fled his cloak stayed
behind and then lied and told her husband Joseph tried to “make sport” of
her and had him put in prison. Well time goes on and then
Joseph is asked to interpret a dream that Pharaoh had and that is when all
these really cool things started happening for Joseph. Pray
