If you ever wanted to know where circumcision
comes from well your about to find out. This is where God
changes Abram and Saria to Abraham and Sarah. Those are
easier for us to remember anyway. Also this is the part of
the Bible that speaks of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah .
Now the reason I think Abraham pleaded for Sodom is because his brother
Lot and his family lived there, thing is that God didn’t even find 10
righteous people in all of Sodom . See if He would have
found at least 10 people that were right with Him He said he would not destroy
the city. Lot’s wife looked back and became a pillar of
salt and Lot ’s son-in laws didn’t believe him when he told them God was
about to destroy the city. Well Lot ’s daughters were no
angels let me tell you and they sinned and it is just a mess. Then
Abraham and Sarah were traveling and Abraham told people that Sarah was his
sister because he feared he would be killed. Man sin after
sin after sin. Thing is God blessed Abraham anyway.
The sin didn’t stop after God blessed him either. Read
for yourselves through these chapters you will be enlightened and I hope you
get the same feelings I did. God loves us despite us.
Deep, wide, high, and far is His love for us. God
blessed Abraham despite Abraham’s shortfalls. Don’t you
think He will bless YOU?
