“Ten Guidelines From GOD”  Part 8 of 10

8. BE PATIENT:
I managed to fix it so in just one lifetime you could have so many diverse experiences. You grow from a child to an adult, have children, change jobs many times, learn many trades, travel to so many places, meet thousands of people, and experience so much. How can you be so impatient then when it takes Me a little longer than you expect to handle something on My to-do-list?  Trust in My timing, for My timing is perfect. Just because I created the entire universe in only six days, everyone thinks I should always rush, rush, rush.

Not only that but God also say’s “NO” on occasion and we need to learn to accept that as well.  If you haven’t gotten a clear answer and you have been praying over something for years there is a good possibility that “NO” was the answer.  God’s timing is perfect and there is nothing He will keep from you that He thinks is right for you and in His plan.  We sometimes get on this wagon of thinking God is going to give up every single thing we ask Him for but that is so not God.  He gives us the things that will glorify Him in the end.  I personally think that if it is good enough for God well then I am willing to accept it and not only that I am willing to wait.  He sends a clear “NOT YET” and He sends the “IN MY TIME” but we are not a patient lot.  So we whine and complain and ask and ask and ask and ask ok I can go on and on couldn’t I.  If He says wait then do just that, wait, because if he allows us to have it before it is time then it will be the opposite of what we were hoping for.  We need to get out of our instant gratification world that we live in and accept the fact that God’s timing is perfect.  I am living breathing proof that if you don’t wait on God it could be a mess.  Ask me about it sometime and we will have coffee, and lunch, and dinner, oh and maybe breakfast.  Yeah I am hard headed and it would take that long to tell you everything.  There are 43 places in the NIV that have patient or patience in them.
