“Ten Guidelines From GOD”  Part 6 of 10
6. HAVE FAITH:
I see a lot of things from up here that you can't see from where you are. Have faith in Me that I know what I'm doing. Trust Me; you wouldn't want the view from My eyes. I will continue to care for you, watch over you, and meet your needs. You only have to trust Me.  Although I have a much bigger task than you, it seems as if you have so much trouble just doing your simple part. How hard can trust be?

The LORD says to trust in Him and not in man.  Psalm 118:8 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.  I take that to heart and this is also the very center of the Bible.

Faith is used 256 times in the NIV Bible in one form or another.  It is a very clear image that God wants us to put our faith in Him. Interesting note here, faith is only used 15 times in the Old Testament and not a single Psalm uses the word “faith” in it.  As I read through these I notice that Matthew and Romans use it the most.  In Matthew Jesus speaks of faith as being something we humans have very little of and faith heals.  A lack of faith gets us nowhere and the faith of a mustard seed moves mountains.  You are healed according to your faith and you get nothing because you have a lack of faith.

Matthew 9:22
Jesus turned and saw her.
"Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment.
Matthew 9:21-23 (in Context) Matthew 9 (Whole Chapter)
Matthew 13:58
And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.
Matthew 13:57-58 (in Context) Matthew 13 (Whole Chapter)
Matthew 15:28
Then Jesus answered,
"Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted." And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
Matthew 15:27-29 (in Context) Matthew 15 (Whole Chapter)
Matthew 16:8
Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked,
"You of little faith, why are you talking among yourselves about having no bread?
Matthew 16:7-9 (in Context) Matthew 16 (Whole Chapter)
Matthew 21:21
Jesus replied,
"I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done.
Matthew 21:20-22 (in Context) Matthew 21 (Whole Chapter)

PRaP all the above scriptures and look at them in their intended context so that you will get the full understanding of God’s plan for faith.

Matthew 7:7-8
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."
