“Ten Guidelines From GOD”  Part 2 of 10

Remember to read these as if God is speaking to you.

2. PUT IT ON THE LIST:
Something needs done or taken care of. Put it on the list. No not your list. Put it on MY to-do-list. Let ME be the one to take care of the problem. I can't help you until you turn it over to Me. And although My to-do-list is long, I am after all... God. I can take care of anything you put into My hands. In fact, if the truth were ever really known, I take care of a lot of things for you that you never even realize.

At first I had a problem with this one because it looks like we are making a laundry list for God.  Thing is once I prayed about it and asked for wisdom it occurred to me that when we pray we are giving God our list.  Not a laundry list but of the things we may need or want.  God is not some magician that poof there it is or poof there it goes.  But He is our Daddy and He tells us that He wants to hear from us.  He says there is no prayer request too small nor too big for Him to handle.  But like it says put it on His list and not your own list.  I looked up “pray” and there are 365 scriptures that use the word “pray” in them.  Not all good either.  There are some that talk about praying to idols and false gods.  The majority speak of how we are to talk to God.  The other thing I noticed is that prayer wasn’t even written about until after the fall of man.  Jesus Himself prayed.  Let’s take a look once again at Matthew.
Matthew 6:5-15
5"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
9"This, then, is how you should pray:
   " 'Our Father in heaven,
   hallowed be your name,
 10your kingdom come,
   your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
11Give us today our daily bread.
 12Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.[a]' 14For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
There is another great example in Matthew 21:18-22
18Early in the morning, as he was on his way back to the city, he was hungry. 19Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, "May you never bear fruit again!" Immediately the tree withered.
20When the disciples saw this, they were amazed. "How did the fig tree wither so quickly?" they asked.
21Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. 22If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."
Search out other good places in the Bible today that speak of prayer and your heart will be blessed with the peace in knowing God hears us and wants to give us the desires of our hearts.  All we need to do is believe.  We are told to seek out first the Kingdom and then all these things will be done.

Matthew 7:7-8
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."
