There are 26 scriptures on “Made idols” on Bible Gateway and in every one of them God is not happy about it.  Why is it we continue to make these idols and worship them.  Oh you say that you don’t do that.  Hmmmmm.  I want you to take time this weekend and truly with an open heart and mind look around your environment and see how many idols you can find.  What hangs on the walls in your home?  Collections?  Why do you collect them?  Will they ensure your Salvation?  Will they make your path to Heaven?  Games, do you have them and do they consume hours upon hours of your time.  I bet your one of the ones that complains about tithing time and saying you do not have enough time to share.  Money, does it consume your days and nights?  Do you spend more time trying to figure out ways to make more of it then you spend reading and worshiping the God of all creation?  I could go on and on.  But in this there is good news.  As long as you have breath in your lungs you can fix it.  Seeking Christ and asking forgiveness.  It is only too late if you have taken your last breath.  But the Bible says you’re not promised that.  So what are you waiting for?  I will be taking inventory too.

Matthew 7:7-8
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."
