"Prepared"
Are you prepared? Prepared for what you may ask. Prepared for anything
that life throws your way. Another question you may have is how can anyone
be prepared for anything and everything life throws? Luke 12:35-36 says:
35"Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, 36like men
waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he
comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. Also Matthew
24:44 says: 44So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come
at an hour when you do not expect him.
With this hurricane heading in this direction many people scramble to get
ready. Me included. But what do you do to "get ready"? In your rush to
get batteries and water and canned food and a can opener that doesn't
require electricity don't forget to get spiritually ready. Make sure your
spiritual house is in order as well. Don't forget to pack the Bible
because you will need it before, during and after the storm passes. Who is
the Great Protector? Well God of course but how do you get to Him? Well
Jesus of course. Be prepared in all ways so that when it is time for the
trial you will be prepared for victory.
PRaP Luke 12:35-36 and Matthew 24:44 and there are approximately 92 other
passages in the Bible that speak of being ready.
