"Are You Content Whatever The Circumstance?"
In Philippians 4:11, Paul states that he has learned to be content whatever
the circumstances. Paul went through many different periods of hunger,
pain, illness, persecution, anger, content, poor, wealth, and I am sure
there is more I haven't listed. But he said he "learned" to be
content.
Have you learned to be content? I have to admit I am still in the learning
phase of this part. Being content during times of need is somewhat
difficult, no, it is flat out hard to do. But in Philippians 14: 13 Paul
says I can do everything through Him who gives me strength. We all know
who that Him is. Through Christ who strengthens us we can do ALL things.
OK, now that we have learned this or for some of us re-learned this. Lay
your burdens down at the cross and be content. I have learned to be
content in what God has given me but I will not be still and miss future
blessings from God. Being content doesn't mean just to lay around and
wallow in our life. It means to be content in ALL things God gives you. I
have also learned that these are seasons. Each season has a time. God
only knows the time frame but know this, it will change. If your down and
out. That will change as long as you keep that mustard seed of faith. If
you are sick, hang on it will change. You will not be sick forever. If
you have wealth, that too will not last forever. Store up wealth in
heaven. That is the wealth that can never go away. Eternal wealth is the
way to go. Store up treasure in your eternal bank through Christ your Lord
and Savior.
