"In The Beginning"
It very clearly states that in the beginning God created the heavens and
the earth. The earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface
of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. This
tells me that when God created the earth it started out as a big giant ball
of water hovering in space. Lifeless, dark and cold. How many times have
you stopped to think about that one fact? Have you ever stopped and
thought about it? We take for granted that things have always just been.
Nothing on this earth at that time had the breath of life in it. It was
sterile, clean and perfect. On the first day God made the light, just by
speaking it into existence. "Let there be light" and there was light.
There is now sunrise and sunset over the big giant ball of water. Still
lifeless but no longer dark and cold. On the second day God said, "Let
there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water." So
now there is a sky, an atmosphere was created. Now the lifeless warm ball
of water has air, atmosphere. On the third day God said, Let the water
under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." YAY
now there is a place to stand and to grow. Still perfect and sterile. Now
God has a place for His creation to take foot. Still Lifeless at this
point but there is now a warm dry atmosphere and solid ground in which to
stand. I know several of you are scratching your heads asking to yourself,
"Where is he going with this?" As I always say, "Stay tuned God
has a
message for you." I want you to PRaP this and then I want you to step
outside and take a look around and if possible take a deep breath. There
should be a profound statement that comes to mind. Maybe more then one.
