"The Lord is Slow To Anger"
In Nahum 1:3 there are some important words that a lot of people miss.
"The Lord is slow to anger and great in power; the Lord will not leave the
guilty unpunished." These are words to think about. God is very much slow
to anger. Look at how long He has been putting up with the sins of this
world we live in. All the idol worship and the worship of foreign gods
that go on here. All the witch craft and satanic worship that is practiced
in this world. All the sexual immorality, drunkenness, debauchery, murder
and the list goes on and on. Don't believe me? look at your local news
paper turn on CNN, Fox, HNN, even the 700 Club. There are tales of sin
throughout the world. There are tales of death from disease, war, and
murder. God is slow to anger. Do you have that patience? Are you slow to
anger? Do you seek the power of God to get through life? It's not easy to
do. But unless you focus day in and day out on this you will never
improve. You will always be short tempered. The Holy Spirit has moved me
to write this today because there is someone that needs this. You know who
you are and so does God. Time to seek His mercy and grace. Time to seek
the power of the Almighty God to stop the sin. God is slow to anger but
remember He NEVER lets the guilty go unpunished. Find your peace through
faith in Jesus Christ. Not in a bottle or a pill. Not in a needle or in
sex. Not in abusing someone you love. Only through the love of Jesus
Christ can you be set free.
