"Things That Make You Go Hmmmmmmmm?"

"People are lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud,
abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love,
unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the
good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers
of God -- having a form of godliness but denying its power." Look at the
headlines in your newspapers today. Listen to the news on your radio.
Watch the news on television and then rebuke me if I am wrong. The above
statement is from 2 Timothy 3:2-5, all I did was replace "will be" with the
word "are". It also says "Have nothing to do with them." Paul was warning
Timothy to stay away from this kind of person because it would lead to
evil. I am telling you that this world has become these things. All this
tells me is that we are experiencing Biblical end times. But it's not the
end to me and the rest of us who have chosen eternal life with Christ as
our Lord and Savior. It is the beginning of eternity. The contractions of
child birth. The time grows nearer to the return of Jesus. It also says
in this book to Timothy to "Preach the word; be prepared in season and out
of season; correct, rebuke and encourage -- with great patience and careful
instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound
doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them
a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear."
