"Press On!"

Philippians 3:10-11, I want to know Christ and the power of His
resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings, becoming like
Him in His death, and so, somehow, to attain the resurrection from the
dead.

Strong words from Paul to the church in Philippi. I too want these things.
How about you? But we fall down and we get up and we fall down and we get
up and we fall down and we get up. What that shows is that we are pressing
on towards the finish line. Pressing on to the glory of God. Trying to
finish well in this crazy world. But we fall down and we fall hard
sometimes. It is not always easy to get back up on our feet and press on.
I myself find it difficult at times, when I fall , I struggle to get back
up and regain my foothold so that I can press on. I know that as I grow
spiritually I fall less and less but when I do fall it seems as if the
weight is greater so that I will learn from the fall. I struggle back up
to my feet battered and bruised scraped knees and elbows and dirty from
head to toe. I always manage though to find Daddy who will clean me up and
heal my wounded knees and elbows and send me back in. At first I can feel
His hand on my shoulder helping me along and then He will let go to see if
I stay on my feet or if I crash again. The best part of this is that He is
always there when I do fall. He picks me up again and again no matter how
many times no matter how hard I hit the ground, no matter how much dirt I
manage to get on me He is there to clean me up and send me on my way again.
I look at Paul and how much his past was so not of a Godly man. He even
states that he falls short put he presses onward and forward. We have to
forget what has happened to us in our past and press onward and upward.
Once you hit the ground it becomes your past. You must seek Daddy to help
you back up on your feet. Once He cleans you up and heals your wounds you
have to get up and press on.
