"Are We There Yet?"

How many times on a single road trip with the kids have you heard that
statement? I tell you I remember growing up and going on those long drives
with my parents asking that very question. "Hey dad, are we there yet?" I
would normally follow up with the question, "How much further?" or "How
much longer?" Come on I know you all have done that or at the least
thought that at some point in your life. I find myself asking God the same
questions. "Hey Dad, are we there yet? "Well, how much further?" "Well
Daddy, how much longer?" Well, He answered me. And funny thing is he
sounded a lot like my earthly dad. "You will be there when you get there"
"As far as I am going to take you" "When I say it is time". So, God what
your telling me is that, no, we're not there yet and I will only be there
when You say I am there and it will be as long a journey as You make it
based upon my successful passing of trials in my life.
