"I Got a Secret"

I am going to tell you something and some of you are going to be shocked.
If your not sitting down I recommend you do. Your Pastor is a sinner just
like you. Yep I read it in the scriptures. It says we ALL fall short of
the glory of God. So that means that your Pastor is just like YOU. They
make mistakes just like you do. They eat and sleep just like you do. They
wear clothes just like you do. They drive cars and ride motorcycles and
live in houses just like you do. I bet there are a few out there that even
like to fish and play baseball and football and I bet a few of them even
like tennis and golf and maybe even like ballet. There are even some that
like to have a quiet time alone just them a bubble bath and some nail
polish. If what I am saying is true, why is it I still see people putting
their Pastors in a seat of high and mighty. I have seen people that no
longer worship God but they worship the one who is supposed to be bringing
them the word of God. I have been in places that the people all stand and
give praise and honor to the Pastor as if they were some kind of god
themselves. Don't get me wrong, Pastors are deserving of respect and
praise. But the thing is that there are some places that take it too far
and they lose sight of what church is all about because they now worship
the Pastor instead of God. They have put their Pastor on the same level as
Jesus Christ and some are put higher then Christ. You see there is a major
problem with this. The student cannot be made higher then the Teacher. If
Christ is their Teacher then they cannot be placed higher then He. The
only way to even be on the same level as Christ in the eyes of God is to be
sin free. There is not a man or woman that walks the face of the earth
today that can say they are perfect and sin free. Stop worshiping your
Pastor. Your supposed to worship God. Your salvation comes from Jesus
Christ not your Pastor.
