"Blessings"

I received a blessing this morning! We were scrambling to get ready for
the day as we normally do and I was informed we were out of one gallon zip
lock bags for lunches. I told the guys that they really need to let me
know when we are low on things because I have to plan for purchases we do
not have the funds to just go buy when we want to. So my stinkin thinkin
took over and I started worrying about how I was going to scramble up the
funds to go shopping early this week. So I started putting together a
shopping list and then I looked up and said, "Daddy I don't have any money
yet this week, What am I going to do?". I didn't hear anything so I just
left it in His hands and went on about getting ready for the day. When we
got to day care one of the day care workers popped out and said, "Mr.
Eldridge just want to let you know the kids won't need a lunch tomorrow for
the field trip." Well alrighty then, looks like God had this in His hands
the whole time. Yes I know that it is a small blessing and it may not seem
to be much to some of you, but that was a HUGE blessing to me because now I
can wait until I get paid to go to the grocery store. Moral of this is
that we take for granted the blessings that God gives to us. He is there
for the smallest of blessings like delaying a shopping trip to something as
large as healing someone that is sick. They are all blessings from God and
we need to savor those times and give thanks to Him that gives them.
