"Checklist"
Lets see what you have done since you woke up. When you first gained
consciousness this morning did you FIRST seek your Daddy God? Or did you
grumble about having to get up and go make the donuts. Did you glorify His
name for the fact that you survived through the night? Or did you complain
about the pimple that grew over night. Did you tell Him thank you Lord for
this new day, I will be glad and rejoice in it? Or did you look out the
window and see another blistering hot sun or no sun at all because it is
storming and complain about having to get out in it. And when you got to
work today, did you yell at your computer because it wouldn't come on and
then kick the file cabinet because the lock wouldn't open? Or did you sit
at your desk or wherever it is you work and pray that God be in this place
to guide you? At lunch today will you give thanks for the food that God
has provided or will you just dig right in? And when the boss comes in and
adds more work or asks you to stay late are you going to submit to their
authority or are you going to lose it and begin to grumble and complain?
Should you be thankful to God that He has given you the job? When you are
at the water cooler or coffee bar and your coworkers are standing around
telling jokes that are hurtful to others and are not glorifying to your
Daddy God are you going to just stand there and take it all in or are you
going to say sorry gang that's not for me and walk away? We tend to take
so many things for granted and I could make this list go on and on into
your evening and ask where you take time to talk to God. The Bible tells
us to pray without ceasing. Is that what you do? Or do you give in to IT
and let him steal, kill and destroy your day?
