"Just Because He Does Doesn't Mean You Have To"
Children just because your parents choose to live their lives separated
from God does not mean you have to. Ezekiel 18 is very clear on this
subject. Just because daddy drinks and messes around doesn't mean that you
should follow in his footsteps. Just because mommy drinks and does drugs
doesn't mean you have to. Just because your parents choose to follow satan
doesn't mean you have to. Just because you live in a world of sin doesn't
mean you have to follow it. I am remembering a time when I was involved in
a ministry in There.com and I was speaking to a man who once followed God
but had decided that it was all false. He has two children and is teaching
them his way of life and not the Truth. He boasted about the times he lead
people to Christ but is now sorry he did. Although I do not understand how
one can taste of the Spirit of God and then turn their backs, I do see this
man leading his own children down a path to eternal separation from God. I
shared the Truth to his children but their hearts were so poisoned that
they couldn't hear the voice of God calling them. I do pray that God will
reach them and that the seed that I planted will fall on good soil. But
children remember this you will not be judged because of what your parents
do and likewise your parents will not be judged by what you do. When the
day comes that you are called before God, will you be standing alone? Will
you be standing in front of God the Almighty Judge of judges by your self?
Or will you have someone there beside you holding your hand saying "Father,
this one is Mine"? Who will that be? Not your mom not your dad not your
gran or grandad nor your aunt or uncle not your sister not your brother not
your lover or your teacher. It will be Jesus Christ if you have chosen Him
to be your personal Lord and Savior. If you have chosen to be with Christ
He will lead you directly from in front of the Father into your eternity in
the Light. Otherwise you will be thrown into the darkness for eternity.
Do not think for a moment that your Daddy God wants you to be in the
darkness. He wants you to live with Him eternally but you have to believe
in His Son and walk the path that He has laid before you.
