"The Truth"

What is truth? Truth is the opposite of false. Truth is factual events or
things that really happened. Words that express times, places, things, and
events that happened in the past. Well there is one other definition of
Truth and that is Jesus Christ. The truth is that the only way to get away
from our daily sin is to repent and ask Jesus to forgive us of our sins.
See He is the one who sacrificed for us. People say that the Old Testament
of the Bible is not important. Well if it is not important how will we
learn sacrifice? There was an entire society that was based upon
sacrifice. In those days it was a requirement to sacrifice for sin. The
Old Testament tells of that sacrificial system of paying for sin.
Sacrifice was also a way to show worship. But the day Jesus was put on the
cross He paid for all of our sins. He was the one and only sacrifice that
needed to be made to pay for all sin past, present and future. John 3:16
says for God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son for who
ever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. What this
tells me is that as long as I believe in Jesus that I will have eternal
life. It goes further in the Scriptures to say that the only way to the
Father is through the Son. So this tells me that I need to have a
relationship with Jesus in order to even get to God in heaven. Scripture
also speaks of the Body of Christ in 1 Corinthians 12:12 says The body is a
unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are
many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. This tells me that I need
to have fellowship with other believers so that in my time of need I will
have help. Each part of the body supports on another in one way or another
as should the body of Christ. The Church is not a building. It is us, we
are the Church. It has nothing to do with a single address or how much
money there is. This bears repeating, we are the Church. Each and
everyone of us who believe in Jesus Christ and has accepted Him as Lord and
Savior are the Church and it is our job to build our body to be strong and
in Truth. When you have an ache or pain in your body or let's just say if
you have a cut. Do you put sugar on it? Do you pour salt on it? I think
not. You accept the truth that you need to put medicine and a bandage on
the cut in order for it to heal. You wash it, dry it, put medicine on it,
and then you cover it. Think about it.
